Assistance whilst travelling

Passengers that require any special arrangements when they travel are asked to contact our booking office on (61) 13 22 51 between 4am - 7pm, 7 days a week and a Supervisor will assist with your travel plans. The booking fee is waived for this assistance. Alternatively you may send an email to reservations@murrays.com.au.

Vision or Hearing Impaired Travellers (TTY/National Relay Service Users)

A free TTY (text phone) service is available to our website users who would like to have a Relay Officer assist in their conversations with Murrays. This service is provided by the National Relay Service (NRS). NB: This service is subject to the hours of operation of the NRS service.

Users who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment can call through the National Relay Service:

  • TTY users phone 13 36 77 then ask for the Murrays telephone number (61) 13 22 51 for Murrays Express Services (available 4am - 7pm).
  • Speak and Listen (speech-to-speech relay) users phone 1300 555 727 then ask for Murrays Express Services (available 4am - 7pm).

Information for Minors Travelling on Murrays Services

Express Service
Children under the age of 15 years are not permitted to travel unaccompanied on any Murrays Australia service. All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult (over the age of 18+ yrs) Proof of age for the accompanied person must be shown on departure if no identification is provided travel may be refused for both passengers. The person accompaning the child under the age of 15 yrs old must accept full responsibility for the child during the journey.

Snow Service
Murrays do not offer Unaccompanied Minor travel for passengers under the age of 18 years. All passengers under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a full paying adult over 18 years old.

Concession Cards

Customers travelling on our Wollongong and South Coast service are entitled to NSW government concession scheme. To find more information about the eligible concession, please visit NSW government transport website http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/concessions.

All concession cards must be issued in Australia to qualify for a concession fare. Photo Identification in the form of a licence or passport (including concessions, seniors and student ID) are required when boarding the coach.

Following concession are accepted while booking on Murrays Canberra-Sydney, Canberra-Snow service.

Credit-Card Security Code

Visa & Mastercard Security Code   If you have Visa or Mastercard then this number is printed on your MasterCard & Visa cards in the signature area of the back of the card. (It is the last 3 digits AFTER the credit card number in the signature area of the card).
 
American Express Card Security Code   If you have American Express card then you can find your four-digit card verification number on the front of your American Express credit card above the credit card number on either the right or the left side of your credit card.

Excess Luggage

The total amount of free of charge luggage per fare paying passenger is one suitcase/bag (no more than 32kgs) and one small carry on cabin bag. Anything in excess of this is subject to the following additional charges:

  • Extra Suitcase/Bag weighing no more than 32kg - $10 per additional bag
  • Surfboard; Ski's and Snowboards; Pushbikes (must be in a box); Golf Bags; Large Packages/Boxes - $20.00 each item.
  • Envelopes (Maximum size A3) - $10.00
  • Prams and Wheelchairs - FOC

Excess luggage may not always be able to travel on the same service as passengers and may need to be carried on a later service. Any items carried on a later service will be available for collection at either Murrays Jolimont (Canberra) or Pitt St (Office).

No items over 32kg will be carried.


General Luggage Policy

The company accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to luggage arising out of or in any way incidental to the service or the accommodation or the transfer of any luggage between the vehicle and any place of accommodation whether such loss or damage may be due to alleged negligence or misconduct on the part of the company, its employees or agents or otherwise whoever.
