Drug & Alcohol Testing
Murrays conduct a fit-to-drive work check that includes an alcohol breath test prior to every shift commencing. We have a zero tolerance to alcohol policy, with a reading of 0.00 required.
Our staff across all departments undergo a range of drug and alcohol tests to ensure the safety of our staff, passengers and the public.
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing conducted by a third party
- Compulsory daily testing breath-testing prior to the commencement of each shift
- Regular, random drug and alcohol testing conducted by a third party
Murrays Control Centre operators have access to real-time airport information and live cameras from road and traffic authorities throughout Australia, to provide drivers with support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All vehicles are fitted with In-Vehicle-Monitoring-Systems (IVMS) including GPS tracking, that allows National Control Centre operators to monitor the location of the vehicle, along with the vehicles performance including speed and harsh braking.
Training & Assessment
Murrays Driver Management program integrates with the In-Vehicle-Monitoring-System, to allow for monitoring and coaching of drivers for a range criteria such as on-time arrival and departures, harsh acceleration or braking, excessive idling, and fatigue management.
Scheduled assessments by Driver Management reviews training needs for further development and mentoring.
