Snow Service Terms & Conditions

All bookings on Murrays Snow Express & Snow Packages are subject to the following terms and conditions as of 1st May 2018.

Booking conditions

Murrays do not offer refunds or credits on any bookings made on our snow express or snow packages purchased. Bookings cannot be transferred to another person or to another Murrays service in the event that you are unable to travel.

Photo Identification in the form of a driver’s license, passport and Australian government issued pension/concession card, senior's card or student ID may be requested when boarding the coach. If the passenger fails to board the coach at the scheduled time on the booking the fare, snow package and ticket will be forfeited. 

Change a booking conditions & fees

Bookings can be changed 48 hours prior to the original scheduled departure time by calling our booking office (04:00am - 7pm, 7 days a week on 13 22 51). Failure to make a change to your booking 48 hrs prior to the original scheduled departure time will result in your ticket & fare being forfeited. Changes to snow packages purchased can not be changed once the booking has been confirmed. All changes are subject to availability and a change of booking fee is charged. We do not offer open dated tickets, refunds or credits on any booking.  Refer to Snow Bookings Fare Category & Conditions table for details

Fare & Package Conditions 

Once a package has been purchased changes to the package type or ski resort can not be changed.  All fares & packages are subject to change without prior notice. 

Adult - 18 years and over.

Child - Child fare applicable for 2 -17 years & must be accompanied by a paying adult (over the age of 18 years) and must accept full responsibility for the child during the journey. *Thredbo 1st Timer package lesson only available for Children aged 7 – 17 years.  Perisher 1st Timer package lesson is only available for children 10yrs & above.

Infants (under 2yrs) & Child Restraints – Infants under 2 years of age may travel free of charge if accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 and if they do not occupy a seat. Should an infant require a seat, the applicable child rate will be charged.

Day Return Travel

Day return fares are only valid for travel in the same day. 

Thredbo – 1st Timer Day package Lift Access & Lesson information

Lift Pass is limited with access to Friday Flat beginner’s area only.  Lesson commences at 9:30am for 2hrs for Adults & 3hrs for Children.  Child Beginners package only available for children aged between 7 – 17 years.  

Perisher 1st Timer Day package Lift Access & Lesson information

At the time of making your booking you must nominate Skier or Snowboard lesson.  Once the booking has been made and have nominated the lesson this cannot change. 

The following lifts are accessible with the 1st Timer Perisher package.

Blue Cow: Early Starter-Pleasant Valley-Pony Carpet-Ski School Rope Tow-Terminal Quad.
Perisher (only if Blue Cow Closed)-Mitchell-V8-Carpet 3.

1st Timer Beginners Lesson (Ski or Snowboard) is for 2hrs & with a lesson commencement time at Blue Cow at 9am.  Must be 10 years & above to attend a beginners lesson.

Credit Card Surcharge 

Murrays will charge an additional fee of 2% of the value of the booking when payment is made via Amex or Diners cards. 

Equipment Bond 

Passengers who purchase a ski or snowboard package will require a cash bond or credit card imprint for the equipment hire when they arrive at Thredbo or Perisher.

Snow Conditions

Murrays takes no responsibility for snow conditions on the day of travel or the availability of the hiring equipment.  Coach travel duration times to/from the NSW Snowfields are subject to change due to traffic & weather conditions.

Timetable & Travel Conditions

All schedules are correct at the time of placement on the website. Murrays services operate subject to passenger demand & availability. The company reserves the right to alter the schedules as it deems necessary. Whilst every effort is made to maintain the timetabled service, no responsibility will be taken for inconvenience due to delayed service and any additional cost or expenses. Travel duration times are subject to change due to traffic & weather conditions. Murrays highly recommends that when making travel plans that you ensure that a contingency is in place for unforeseen circumstances that may occur which is out of our control. 

Seating Allocation

Allocated seating is not available & seating is based on a first come first served basis. 

Snow Equipment & Snow Gear

1st Timer & 1 Day package include sport rentals.  

- Skier package includes - Ski/Stocks & Boots 

- Snowboard package includes – Snowboard/Boots

Snow Gear for example, Ski jackets, bib & brace, snow gloves, eyewear etc not included in packages.  This can be hire from Snow hire store or at the Snow Rental stores located at Bullocks Flat & Thredbo. 

Passenger Behaviour

Murrays reserves the right to refuse travel or remove any passenger from the coach who is behaving in a disruptive or inappropriate manner. Smoking & the consumption of illicit drugs & alcohol is strictly prohibited onboard the coach & are in line with federal & state government regulations. 

Food & Beverages

Eating on the coach is permitted but, we do not allow hot drinks or hot food.  Non-alcoholic drinks are permitted but for safety purposes no drinks in glass bottles or hot drinks are allowed on board. The consumption of alcohol is not permitted on board the coach. 

Luggage

The company accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to luggage arising out of or in any way incidental to the service or the accommodation or the transfer of any luggage between the vehicle and any place of accommodation whether such loss or damage may be due to alleged negligence or misconduct on the part of the company, its employees or agents or otherwise whoever. We recommend that personal travel insurance is obtained when making your travel arrangements.

The total amount of free of charge luggage per fare paying passenger is one suitcase (no more than 32 kgs), one bag with skis/stocks or snowboard and one small carry-on bag is able to be taken onboard the coach and must be able to be placed underneath the seat in front or above in the overhead baggage area. Any carry-on bag that does not fit under the seat or overhead in the baggage area must be placed in the luggage area underneath the coach. Additional luggage that exceeds the allocated luggage amounts are subject to additional charges of $10 per items. 

Departures

Sydney/Canberra Snow Express

All coaches commence loading 30 minutes prior to departure at the Canberra Jolimont Centre and Sydney Central Station. All passengers must board the coach 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Failure to board the coach within 10 minutes of the departure time may mean your fare and seat will be forfeited.  We recommend that passengers on these services picking up from other timetable departure points should be at the scheduled stop 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Sydney International Airport 

Bookings are essential for Sydney International Airport pick up and drop offs as Murrays will only stop to pick up and drop off passengers where a booking has been made. We recommend passengers be at scheduled stop and check in luggage with driver 10 minutes prior to departure.

NSW Snowfield Departures/Pick Ups

All pick up & drop off locations for our snow express are listed on our timetable, website & on your booking confirmation. Passengers must be at the scheduled stop 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.  Services depart at the scheduled departure time and are not delayed for late arriving passengers due to connecting service. Failure to board the coach within 10 minutes of the departure time will result in your fare, package and seat being forfeited.
