Murrays Coaches is seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Trades Assistant / Bus Detailer to join our workshop team. This hands-on role supports our mechanics and tradespeople while ensuring our fleet is maintained, cleaned, and presented to a high standard.

The Role: Key Responsibilities

• Clean and detail buses (interior and exterior)
• Assist tradespeople with mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for jobs
• Move and position buses within the yard or workshop
• Refuel vehicles and complete basic checks
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures

About You

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Attention to detail and pride in vehicle presentation
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Current driver’s licence (HR licence highly regarded but not essential)
• Previous experience in a mechanical, trade, or vehicle detailing environment is an advantage but not essential
